but Technicap can study on demand, any kind of traps adapted to any kind of collecting areas.
TRAP DESIGN
Developed in collaboration with French scientist
working in the field of particules fluxes, the TECHNICAP sediments traps follow
the latest scientific recommendations for efficient design and construction (e.g.
U.S.GOFS planing rapport n° 10, 1989). High-quality plastics and corrosion-free
metallic components are used.
They collect and hermetically seal from ambient water from 1 to 24 consecutive
particle samples.
Avaible in three basic configurations with increasing collecting areas, these
traps are suitable to differents sedimentation regimes (low to high) and/or research
vessel sizes.
- The P.P.S.4/3 (collecting area : 0,05 sqm) and
the P.P.S.3/3 (collecting area : 0,125sqm) are cylindroconical traps wich are
particulary adapted to high sedimentation regimes (e.g. ocean boundaries, lakes)
and deployment from small research vessels. They can collect up to 12 consecutives
samples.
-The P.P.S.5/2 (collectin area : 1sqm) is large, baffled conical trap wich has
been specially designed for deep, low-sedimentation environments such as the
dep ocean for exemple. It collects up to 24 consecutive samples.
